Albacross doesn't have a native Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration, but you can connect the two in minutes with Zapier. Each time Albacross identifies a company in your chosen Segment, a Lead or Account is created or updated in Dynamics 365.
What data is sent
Company ID, company name, country of registration, address (city, address, ZIP code), number of employees (range), financial report (revenue, currency, year, profit margin), founded date, NACE code, website, link to the company profile in Albacross, tags, and optionally contacts (email, first and last name, department, position, LinkedIn, phone number). Some fields may not be available for all records.
Before you start
A paid Albacross account
A Segment in Albacross for the companies you want in your CRM
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales with a user that can create Leads and Accounts
A Zapier account on a plan that includes premium apps (Dynamics 365 is a premium Zapier app)
Step 1: Create a Zapier connector in Albacross
When logged in to Albacross, click Connectors and select New connector.
Step 2: Choose Zapier
Choose Zapier in the popup and follow the instructions on screen.
Step 3: Set up the trigger in Zapier
In Zapier, name your connector, choose which Segment to pull data from, and select what to export (Company or Company + Contacts). Then test the trigger to pull in a sample company.
Pro tip: connect the connector to one of your Segments so only your most valuable leads reach Dynamics 365.
Step 4: Look up existing records in Dynamics 365
Add the action Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM → Find Record. Sign in with your Microsoft account, choose the entity Account (or Lead) and search on the website field using the Albacross website value. This prevents duplicates.
Step 5: Create or update the record
Add Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM → Create Record, or Update Record using the ID found in Step 4, and map the fields using the table below.
Albacross field | Dynamics 365 Account | Dynamics 365 Lead |
Company Name | Account Name (name) | Company Name (companyname) |
Website | Website (websiteurl) | Website (websiteurl) |
Country of registration | Address 1: Country (address1_country) | Country (address1_country) |
Address, City, ZIP Code | Address 1: Street, City, ZIP (address1_line1, address1_city, address1_postalcode) | Same fields as Account |
Number of employees (From–To) | Number of Employees (numberofemployees), e.g. the "From" value | Number of Employees (numberofemployees) |
Revenue | Annual Revenue (revenue) | Annual Revenue (revenue) |
NACE code | Custom field or Description | Custom field or Description |
Company profile page in Albacross | Custom field or Description | Description (description) |
Contact email, first name, last name, position, phone | Create a related Contact | Email (emailaddress1), First/Last Name (firstname, lastname), Job Title (jobtitle), Business Phone (telephone1) |
Option-set fields such as Lead Source expect a numeric code, not text. Use Formatter by Zapier → Lookup Table to translate values.
Step 6: Test and activate
Test the Zap, check the record in Dynamics 365, and don't forget to activate the Zap. If everything is set up correctly, Albacross sends companies to Dynamics 365 whenever they meet the criteria of your Segment.
Prefer to send leads manually? You can instead use the Albacross Exported Lead trigger in Zapier. Leads are then sent each time you press Export in the Albacross dashboard. See How to export leads from Albacross to my CRM.
Troubleshooting
Duplicate accounts: always look up the record by website before creating it (Step 4).
401/403 errors from Dynamics: check that the connected Microsoft user has a Sales role in Dynamics 365.
Nothing arrives: check that the Zap is active, that the connector shows under Connectors in Albacross, and that your Segment contains companies.
Too many low-value records: narrow the Segment.
